From 1649 Charles I was put on the guillotine to 1660 Charles II restoration, the British experienced a period of unsuccessful republic, known as the "throne vacancy period." During this period a number of important republican thinkers emerged,Milton and Harrington were among the representative figures, and in the face of strong royal power, they had proposed a program to build the republic.Unlike Harrington,Milton did not propose a systematic theory of republicanism that did not focus on the specific form of "best polity".Reality is his salient feature,he is concerned about whether the British can seize the opportunity to achieve freedom, the establishment of a Republic without a sovereign.Milton's middle age is closely linked to the fate of the republic.Charlie I was pushed to the guillotine,he published The Tenure of Kings and Magistrates Research, for the trial of Charles I defense. He was appointed by the Government of the Republic of Latin America as secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and published a series of works on behalf of the Government with a view to attacking the counter-revolutionary thesis of the Conservative Party and defending the Republic. In March 1660,General Munch dissolved the longstanding parliament, the growing power of the powerful, the new republic was about to die.Milton refused to return to the monarchy, adventure published The Ready and Easy Way to Establish a Free Commonwealth, proposed a specific way to reform the parliament in order to resist the restoration of countercurrent. There are also many discourses on Milton's early works, but this booklet is a concentrated expression of his republican ideology.Remove the introduction and conclusion, the article is divided into four parts:The first part introduces the basic situation of Milton and British republicanism.First of all, from the perspective of the history of the system of the Republic of the reality of the existence of the various drawbacks, although it is with the reactionary forces to allow the existence of the form, but not Milton ideal of the Republican state;Secondly,Milton wrote The Ready and Easy Way to Establish a Free Commonwealth, and the final content of the The Ready and Easy Way to Establish a Free Commonwealth. The second part mainly discusses Milton's innovation of "mixed regime theory" in Roman republican tradition.First of all, from the dimension of the history of thought combing the Romanian republican pedigree in the history of mixed political theory.Secondly, the analysis of Milton's reform of the theory of mixed polity in The Ready and Easy Way to Establish a Free Commonwealth,he excluded the monarchical and democratic elements of the traditional mixed political theory from the basic structure of the republic and locked the key of the republic In the permanent Senate. This contrasts with his attitude towards the mixed polity in his early works, reflecting the practical relevance and practicality of his works. The third part focuses on the great influence of the Hebrew republican tradition on Milton. In The Ready and Easy Way to Establish a Free Commonwealth,Milton regarded the Hebrew Republic as a model of republican politics, advocating that man should be born free and untenable. He cites "Samuel","Deuteronomy",with a prophet's gesture to warn the British that if they want to defend their freedom, they can not worship the idols of the earth, and the return to the monarchy means slavery. The fourth part mainly discusses the three specific contents of Milton's new republicanism.First, the aristocracy. The permanent parliament is a key part of the Milton non-monarchy,an aristocratic politics marked by virtue and service to the public.Second, the right to resist.Milton advocates a radical contract theory that once the client is contrary to the interests of the people, undermine the contract, the people have the right to resist.Third, exclusive republicanism.Milton completely opposed the monarchy with the republic, advocating the establishment of a republic without a monarch,to explain the true sense of the exclusive republicanism.
