Study On Engel's Marriage And Family Theory

Engels' s marriage and family thought is the important component of Marxist Criticism.The thought utilizes the outlook of history and future to offer important and valuable guiding ideology of marriage as the significant basis for the solution of family problems.As the continuous development of material living standard,the more attention is put into the quality of mental life.Thus,more and more people think about the essence and significance of marriage and family,especially about whether the tradition and system of family still suit human needs.Engels put forward the humanism of the Marxism in marriage and family thought in role “ The New Generation” from?Family,Private property and Country?.“The New Generation”are the people who have better development and more freedom,they would be the witness and leader of the future marriage and family.Engel's description on“The New Generation”in his Family Theory is the highlight of the implicated thought of humanism.Besides,The awakening of human beings has played different roles in the different stages during the development of family history;The free development of human being is the basic premise of Engels' s thought of marriage and family;The overall development of human being is the fundamental basis of Engels' s outlook on marriage and family.The humanism thought derives from Engels' s thought coincide with the new needs of marriage and family: to fulfill the mental needs.In this paper,the author combined with Engels' s greatest wish for the human's future and the important connection between human and the development of marriage and family to refresh the theoretic content of Engels' s thought on marriage and family,and to analyze how Engels deals with the awakening of human beings,the free development of human being and the overall development of human being in his marriage and family thought,starting with the origin and basic content of it.In conclusion,the author tried to further enrich the theoretical connotation of Engels' s marriage and family theory through the study of humanism.Thus,to figure out the theoretical clue of the priority and importance of human needs and development in marriage and family.
