The Challenges That The China's Sea Strategy In The Indian Ocean

In 2012 the party's eighteenth report,in order to enhance the ability of Marine resources development and the development of Marine economy,to protect the ecological environment of Indian Ocean,to insure the national Marine rights and interests,we have to control our owned "sea right".Several western mass media intentionally distorted it,which was partly due to their interpretation of China's strategic plans from their western traditional concept as "sea power",like the "switch" hegemony theory,therefore,consistently spreading "the China threat theory" continually.Construction of sea power is for the development of China's strategy,which is not only for the sustainable development of China,the only way to confront the world's great powers nowadays,but also for meeting the current China's maritime rights and interests.In recent years,due to China's surge in foreign trade development and the implementation of "One Belt and One Road ",the Indian Ocean region became the core part of sea power construction of our country.In this paper,it mainly discusses the challenges of China sea power strategy in Indian Ocean,mainly from two aspects:on one hand,the large challenge is from the Indian Ocean region dominated by the United States and the South Asia regional power,India,for their own strategic interests balance,they try to block China's participation in regional affairs in the Indian Ocean;on the other hand,it's from the Indian Ocean region,which has been rooted for a long time as the horrible security threats,among them the non-traditional security threats such as terrorism and piracy is most difficult.To ensure China's development,it's necessary to diversify the energy channels and the development of new energy.China should also actively participate the establishment of the maritime security order in the Indian Ocean.
