Study Of Legal System Of Food Safety Information Disclosure

Food safety has gained a lot of attention due to the frequently happened incidents in these years. Food safety issues have big impacts so it is easy to trigger trust crisis of the public. Therefore, it is very important to disclose the food safety information. It is not only basis of making policies and rules but also an essential part of the construct of food safety system. Governments in world pay close attention to the construction of information disclosure system in terms of food safety legislation. This study illustrates the current status quo of China's food safety legislation, points out the drawbacks and compare with the food safety policy from the United States,and proposes reasonable suggestion on improving the disclosure policy of the current food safety information.This study consists of five parts. The first part discusses the origin of the issue, main content, significance of the study and methodology. The second part introduces an overview of food safety information disclosure mechanism and discusses this issue from aspects of economics and law. The third part demonstrates the insufficiency of China's current food safety disclosure information. The fourth part introduces the same policy from the United States and compares it with the policy in China. The last part proposes the legal countermeasures of China's current food safety disclosure information.There are many deficiencies of the existing food safety information disclosure system in China. There is a lack of unity and compatibility in the current food industry, which is not suitable to the development of the contemporary society. Therefore, to study the responsibility of the government and corporates in food safety disclosure information can protect the health of the people, improve the quality of living, and bring important theories and meanings for international trades. On this subject, a lot of scholars have suggested valuable opinions. This study hopes to bring up an original idea based on the previous research.
