A Research On Crisis Management Of Campus Suicide Emergencies

Since the beginning of the twenty-first Century,college students committing suicide has become so prominent that it aroused concernsfrom both the public media and the society at large.College students' suicidal events had not only brought harm to the family,but also caused huge losses for individualsand had negative effect on the state and society.In recent years,universities and colleges have become the high incidence for various types of crisis since the students were put under great pressure of both academy and society.Campus suicide has especially become the focus of all.There are a great many reasons that can lead to campus suicide,including those problems and contradictions from the society and families,alsothe psychologicaland academic perplexes as well as the management oversight of colleges and universities.Had these emergencies notbeen handled timely and effectively,they could have brought different degrees of damage and harm to the college students' physical and mental health.It would also affect their learning environment and normal life,leaving parents with great fear and panic.Under these circumstances,schools should strengthen the management of campus crisis,re-define and attachmore importance to the college safety education,psychological education and humanistic care status.We should also consummate the working process of crisis management and look for a perfect crisis management theory and means,so as to meet the serious challenges.There are six chapters in the whole article:the first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the research background,the significance and object of study,as well as the research methods.The second part is about the concept and theory of emergency suicide and crisis management of college students,which explains the definitions of emergencies,campus emergencies,crises management andcampus crisis management.This part also introduces the related theories of crisis management.The theoretical bases ofthis article are the six-step theory of the psychological crisis intervention and emergency management theory.Through researches and analysis on the suicidal crisis management,we aim to find the dead zone and core of this study and look up domestic and foreign literary review.The third part analyzes of the causes of college students' unexpected suicide with regard to my four years' experience as a college counselor.This part also takes the students' individual factors,family factors,social factors and academic status into account to explore the specific reasons.The fourth part is the analysis of the problems and roots for the crisis management in Colleges and universities.The problems in university crisis management include the problems of the school,of the parents,of the counselor and of themselves.As for the specific reasons,we will analyze from the origin.The fifth part is mainly about solutions to strengthen the management of college students' unexpected suicide.In terms of the different management stages from the crisis management of prevention,early warning and disposal,we would put forward reasonable and viable suggestions for schools,parents,counselors and students.Furthermore,we will offer innovative and practical methods to deepen the theories of crisis management on campus and improve the university crisis management strategies.The sixth part is the conclusion of the study.The author analyzes the causes of campus suicide emergencies and put forward her own countermeasures for college students' crisis management according to her own research and interview data from the previoussuicidal events and crisis management research.The author of this paper is a part-time counselorin the college.The author put forward her own innovation and management mode through her work experience,investigation and research.The author's "three guiding mechanisms" refers to the comprehensive care for students' lives,the control the crisis as well as the management of the crisis.Finally,the author proposesthe deficiencies in this thesis on the basis of previous studies and put forward the suggestions and those to be improved in future studies.This thesis shall serve as a reference for management practice and will bring some enlightenment for universities and colleges to cope with suicide crisis in the future.
