The Analysis Of Challenges And Countermeasures In Sino-US Climate Cooperation

With the increasing of global greenhouse gas emissions and the rising of global warming,on the one hand,the survival and development of human being is facing great challenges due to climate change;on the other hand,the climate problem has a profound impact on the harmony of international relations and the stability of international political structure in the world today.It has become a major topic in the international community.Therefore,the establishment of a comprehensive global climate governance mechanism has become particularly urgent.China and the United States not only have a pivotal international status in the world today,but also China and the United States are the main emitters of greenhouse gases,so in response to global climate change have important strategic significance.Strengthening Sino-US climate cooperation is of great significance to the healthy development of Sino-US relations and global climate governance.China and United States have a certain basis for cooperation and many common interests in climate cooperation,but there are also many challenges and differences.This paper focuses on the following four aspects to analyze the challenges and countermeasures of Sino-US climate cooperation: the first part mainly analyzes the overview of Sino-US climate cooperation,respectively from the process of global climate cooperation,the necessity for China to participant in climate cooperation,the necessity for the US to participant in climate cooperation and the current situation of Sino-US climate cooperation to discuss.The second part mainly discusses the challenges in Sino-US climate cooperation,including the lack of strategic mutual trust in Sino-US climate cooperation,differences in specific areas such as the principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities",financial and technical assistance,and the challenge of the United States government change to Sino-US climate cooperation.The third part mainlyanalyzes the reasons why there are challenges in Sino-US climate cooperation,including the differences of global government mode,the differences of the developmental stage and the differences of positions and propositions.The fourth part mainly analyzes China's countermeasures to deal with Sino-US climate cooperation,respectively from the changes of China's domestic climate policy and the countermeasures to further deepen the Sino-US climate cooperation to analyze.The issue of climate change is a global issue that requires all the countries join hands to cope with the challenges posed by climate change.As the world's biggest emitters of greenhouse gases,China and the United States should turn challenges into opportunities,and continue to strengthen political and economic cooperation in global climate cooperation,and should seek common ground while putting aside differences,reach consensus in the global climate cooperation,making China and the United State in the international climate negotiations more tacit understanding.This will be conductive to the realization of the interests of the two countries and the further deepening of global climate cooperation.
