Males’ Rights As Victims Of Rape Crime

In modern China,the perfection of the laws and regulations of rape crime and compulsory indecency has provided an effective legal protection to women’s sexual rights,however,the laws and regulations has provided little protection to men’s sexual rights while the men are already falling into victims in rape crime.In fact,the increasing numbers of male victims,raped by males or females,are damaging their physical and mental health as well as their dignity,and increasing the risk of HIV infections and mental problems of the victims.The male rape crime may cause social disorder,revenge crimes and unstable society.According to Clause 237 in the newly amended Criminal Law,the objects of protection has extend to "others",place the males above age 14 under legal protection,which has a great significance in males sexual rights.However,the male rape crime is included into "compulsory indecency",which is not a full enforcement of the principle"punishment in keeping with the crime",and male sexual rights cannot be fully protected.In conclusion,the laws and regulations concerning the male sexual rights should be further amended in order to protect male sexual rights based on realistic needs and demands,and male sexual rights should be further protected by social attention and moral ethics.
