Study On The Government 'S Role In Developing Electronic Commerce In Wenzhou City

In recent years,e,commerce,which is a new mode of commercial transaction,has formed a trend through rapid development,and the government of various countries has proposed policies and measures of developing e-commerce,hoping to grasp this historic development opportunity.Although e-commerce took its first step quite late in China in comparison with those Western developed countries,the government has attached much importance to this field.From the central to the local government,policies and measures have been released successively to encourage the development of e-commerce.In accordance with the role that the government plays in the development of e-commerce,domestic and overseas scholars have conducted a great deal of research on how to effectively exert the government's visible hand,accurately position its own functions,effectively bring the government's role into play in planning guidance,public service,government regulation and coordinated participation,and promote e-commerce in the implementation of rapid development.Thus,the local government's management can be effective,but not defective or inappropriate.While coordinating mutually with the invisible hand of the market,the development of e-commerce can be promoted,which is an important reflection of the local govemment's capability in governance.The govenment's role in the development of e-commerce is considered as the starting point in this paper.Through the research and survey of the current development of e-commerce in Wenzhou,an emphasis is placed on the in-depth analysis of the main measures,questions and causes for these questions in Wenzhou government's development of e-commerce.Furthermore,the experience of domestic and overseas advanced cities is used as a reference,and relevant theories of the government's administrative management are integrated to further propose measures and suggestions regarding the government's role in the development of e_commerce in Wenzhou.It provides strong support to Wenzhou govenment's improvement of its work efficiency,the promotion of the structural economic reform and the better facilitation of urban transformation and sustainable,development.
