China's Junior Military Academy's Function Of National Defense Education

Juvenile military academy of our country plays an important role in the improvement and the strengthening of ideological and moral education of our juveniles,it is also an important carrier of national defense education to children and juveniles in our country at the same time.It promotes Three Devotion Education at the core,highlights the ideological and moral leading and attaches importance to the richness and diversity of educational activities.Juvenile military academy plays an irreplaceable role to the overall development,the formation of excellent moral qualities and healthy behaviours and lifestyles as well as the construction of national consciousness of students.At present,a comparatively complete educational model has formed in the choosing and application of method and the construction of system and so on of juvenile military academy in our country.The educational activities of our juvenile military academy accords with the main direction of ideological and moral education,suits the characteristics of contemporary children and juveniles and should go on developing.This study adopts method of document analysis,depth interview and participatory observation,chooses three juvenile military academies in Beijing as study objects,uses the theory of man's overall development and the theory of education function as theoretical support,analyses the educational function of juvenile military academies in Beijing and elements that promote the formation of this function and gives development suggestion.
