Citizen Participation Towards Public Reason-Direction Selection Of Citizen Participation In NIMBY

For the past few years,Not-In-My-Backyard happens one after another at home.NIMBY is a kind of participation way that citizens take non-institutionalized action to disagree with NIMBY.On the one hand,it shows people's awareness of being citizens and rights.On the other hand,it reflects many participation chaos which reveal that citizens are lack of rational guidance.The participation of the public rationality requires that people should have positive citizenship,follow public interest and take the way of negotiable manner.When we analyze the numerously typical samples at home,we find that no matter participators or participatory approach are hardly to fit with the spirit of public rationality at present.From the viewpoint of systematisms,the reasons may be partly subject,partly object or external environment and so on.According to these,we should guide the direction of citizen participation to public rationality from education,objective and negotiation.
