In twenty-first Century,with the rapid development of national economy and science and technology,China's national defense has also made considerable progress.With a large number of new patrol vehicles equipped with border guards,the efficiency and quality of patrol have been greatly improved.But in the process of patrol,also exposed many problems,such as patrol vehicle underpowered,mobility and comfort is poor,the information transmission system does not match,communication reconnaissance facilities need to upgrade.In order to meet the needs of China's border defense,this article had developed a new type of border patrol car to meet the requirements of active forces for the border patrol vehicle's power,mobility,and comfort.This vehicle could be used for border defense force maneuvering,patrolling,command communication and recording,and had important practical significance for improving the security of border patrols in China.Main works and studies of this paper were shown as follows:1)According to the basic performance and professional performance requirements of the border patrol car,the EQ2060 E off-road chassis was identified as the chassis of the vehicle,and the overall layout design and detail design were performed.Finally,the vehicle was modeled in three dimensions according to the designed dimensions.2)Based on the chassis data of the border patrol car and the overall design parameters,the size of the border patrol car was determined,and the performance of the entire vehicle was calculated for the border patrol car,including dynamic calculation,fuel economy calculation,stability calculation and passivity calculation.3)According to the overall design size of the border patrol car,the LS-DYNA software was used to analyze the stiffness and strength of the vehicle under conditions of bending,braking,sharp cornering,and torsion;the vehicle was subjected to air resistance and transverse force using FLUENT software.4)The border patrol car was trial-produced,and after the trial production of the vehicle was completed,the vehicle was tested in accordance with national standards.The vehicle performance test,passability test,brake test,maximum grade test,and acceleration performance were mainly performed.The research results of the thesis indicate that the overall layout design and detailed design of the new border patrol vehicle met the requirements,with good dynamics and mobility,among which the maximum speed is 133.56km/h and the minimum turning diameter is 15 m.The simulation results in the LS-DYNA software showed that the car body stress distribution was uniform,there was no stress concentration,to meet the requirements of stiffness and strength.Simulation results in FLUENT software showed that the drag coefficient of the car was of medium level and crosswind stability was better.In the actual vehicle test,all performance indicators met the requirements.The development of the border patrol car has important practical significance for improving the security of China's border patrols.
