The Study On College Students'political Participation Through Internet

The current cyber society has provided college students totally a new way of political participation which is convenient and quick.Cyber management is an important topic for our country at present.College students'political participation through internet as a significant aspect of cyber management has gained attention widely,not only as a cyber problem but also an education issue,and a political matter at the same time.This article draws lessons from plenty of academic research,focus on attending platforms,channels and related aspects,analyze on undergraduates'network political participation condition,feature and issues,then try to give specific suggestions to optimize college students' network political participation.This article includes six chapters.First is introduce the background briefly,summarize and give comments to existing relevant research result.It's not hard to find that the publications on internet political are plentiful,but refers to college students' network political participation is mainly papers and basically dependent on politics and virtual cyber social theory,lack of a systematic and comprehensive research,empirical analysis is too much but theoretical and innovation are insufficient.From chapter 2 to 3 are the main body of this research,on the basis of a brief review of the development of cyber society and college students' network political participation situation,combined with author's targeted interviews and questionnaire,analyze and conclude the current condition of our college students' political participation.Our college students care about politics,willing to participate in political discussion and give advice,the internet has become the main platform for them to gain news information,express personal opinions on public issues and carry out social communication.And their attitude towards political issue is in a moderate and steady state,concern but not fanatical,participation but not persistence,generally in a normal and health situation.It reflects our society political situation is stable,people are satisfied with present politics and college students' mature political psychology.While on the other hand,the internet is not real,there is lots of false political information which our students must be care,and some wrong internet political participation behavior exists.In this section,the author analyze some common internet platforms such as BBS,blogs,microblogging,QQ space,etc.summarize the features of political participation approach:diversity,differentiation,interactive,times and complexity---then reveals the main problems:the lack of guidance of government information,intermingle of good and bad internet news,insufficient public BBS function and poor website self-discipline,etc.Finally the sixth chapter put forward the path optimization suggestions to strengthen college students' internet political participation and education,enhance the information openness and interactive,guide and constrain the websites self-discipline,etc.We still lack of a complete feasible policies and measures system to guide and manage college students' political participation through internet.As a preliminary exploration,this research is the supplement for the existing achievement and hope can be helpful for the future comprehensive study.
