Modern and contemporary Chinese history involves the darkness and humiliation of being beaten,also concerns advanced Chinese' effort to strive for progress with determination and arduous struggle.The efforts made by landlord westernizationists,the bourgeois reformists and the bourgeois revolutionaries,with taking courageous and unyielding actions to save nation and people,to rejuvenate China,were in vain.Finally,advanced Chinese could not find the truth of salvation until the introduction of Marxism in China,which likes a breeze passing through the land of China,quickly washing away Chinese ideological circle.There are three main channels for the introduction of Marxism in China: Russia,Japan,Europe,among which,Japan is a very important channel concluded from the time and contents about the introduction of Marxism.At the beginning of the 20 th century,Chinese intellectuals studying in Japan served as a bridge and made irreplaceable contribution in the process of the introduction of Marxism from Japan to China.This paper makes a systematic and comprehensive analysis of the course and experience of introducing Marxism by Chinese intellectuals studying in Japan at the beginning of the 20 th Century.Firstly,it makes an explanation and analysis for the connotation of the Chinese intellectuals studying in Japan at the beginning of the 20 th Century and the reason for them to introduce Marxism.Demonstrating the concept and characteristics of these intellectuals,analyzing the reasons to introduce Marxism from the aspects of domestic,international and intellectuals.Moreover,this paper focuses on the course of the introduction of Marxism.This paper analyzes the main contents,ways and features of the introduction of Marxism by Chinese intellectuals studying in Japan from the period of Before October Revolution and May Fourth Movement of 1919.Before the October Revolution,Marxism came into an early propaganda stage.Chinese intellectuals in Japan mainly translated and introduced the Marxism translation,with certain selective content and a unitary way to spread.Early spread of Marxism was basically in the "unconscious" stage;the May Fourth period was the deepening stage of Marxism in China.The propaganda of Marxism in the May Fourth Movement has entered a relatively intense stage.The dissemination of content was gradually integrated in the system,covering three major components of Marxism,with a more diversified transmission.More importantly,Marxism doctrine began to combine with the workers' movement.During this period,the spread of Marxism has been established to the stage of "consciousness".Finally,the paper summarizes the experience of Marxism in the early twentieth century.At the beginning of the twentieth century,the propagation of Marxism from Chinese intellectuals in Japan has played an important role and had a far-reaching influence in the process of spreading Marxism.However,there still existed some historical limitations in this process.During this century,the spread of Marxism from those intellectuals had an essential enlightenment to the realization of contemporary Marxism in China,as well as its modernization and popularization.The introduction of Marxism into China happened in a specific historical period with the internal driving and external factors.The spread of Marxism by Chinese intellectuals in Japan at the beginning of the twentieth century has opened up an important channel for the spread of Marxism in China and cultivated the earliest batch of Marxists,which profoundly hit the future development of China.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to clarify the historical origins and historical necessity of socialism with Chinese characteristics and to promote the popularization of Marxism through deep analysis and appreciation of the propagation of Marxism from Chinese intellectuals in Japan at the beginning of the twentieth century.
