Propaganda and ideological work is an important part of the work of the Party,which is related to the overall situation of social development and the continuous progress of the cause of the Party.Since the 18 th CPC National Congress,the CPC Central Committee,with President Xi as the core,has focused on the overall situation,grasped the major tendency,and profoundly analyzed the new tasks,new situations,new problems and new contradictions facing the current propaganda and ideological work.Comprehensively summing up and drawing on the good theories,good practices and good experiences of the classical Marxist writers and our Party in the field of propaganda and ideological work,We have put forward a series of new ideas,new viewpoints and new measures in the aspects of value orientation,fundamental task,guiding principle,basic principles and main means of propaganda and ideological work,and have made timely and comprehensive arrangements and deployment.Great achievements have been made in propaganda and ideological work,which serves for the major work,in consolidating the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field of our country and in the ideological basis of the joint struggle of the whole party and the whole nation.After summing up the main practices in the field of propaganda and ideological work since the 18 th National Congress of the Party,we have analyzed and obtained major experiences and theoretical innovations,which is of great theoretical significance and practical value to enrich and perfect the guiding ideology of the Party in the field of propaganda and ideological work and to build socialism with Chinese characteristics.Through the above analysis,we pursue to have a more comprehensive review and understanding of the 18 th National Congress of the Party in the field of propaganda and ideological work,from which to gain useful experience and theoretical summary for the future of the party in the field of propaganda and ideological work.The research consists of three parts.The first part is the logical starting point and foreshadowing of the study,which points out that propaganda and ideological work is the core of the ideological construction of our ruling party,analyzes the basic characteristics of propaganda and ideological work,and points out that propaganda and ideological work is an important work of our ruling party.The second part mainly describes the realistic background and main measures of the Communist Party of China to strengthen and improve the propaganda and ideological work since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.The third part analyzes and summarizes the theoretical innovation and contemporary value of the thoughts of propaganda and ideological work since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
