This project launches with the creation of the first University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Costa Rica, this one as founded, is aiming to provide and disseminate the highest levels of education in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine and it's different branches, providing to the targeted population with new tools to enhance knowledge, competitiveness, quality, and many other aspects that will be directly reflected in the national economy of Costa Rica and Latin America. The University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Costa Rica goes above and beyond the regular perception of a regular business, since we as a company aim for an integrative method to introduce and merge the ancient knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine in to the educational, health, cultural and economical spheres in Costa Rica and Latin America, implementing a perfect platform to develop, re-activate and upgrade most of the economical sectors in the country, with this, promoting sustainability and growth. The project starts with the promotion of specific and certified knowledge; this will be the vertebral column of the business structure since there is none without graduated specialist such as specialty and master degree in the Traditional Chinese Medicine; this doctors will be capable of ensuring the research, exercise and promotion of the diverse branches of the TCM, keeping in mind that in the last 30 years Costa Rica is the only country in the occidental side of the world that has legally authorized the practice of Acupuncture. The Project of the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Costa Rica is based on the framework signed between the People's Republic of China and our country and we consider that this project works as a way to harness the ancient knowledge, with the Free Trade Agreement, causing a huge positive impact on the Costa Rican population, especially by improving health services and supplying an important economical contribution for the C.C.S.S. (Costa Rican National Health Care System). It is noteworthy that the creation of the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Costa Rica strongly boosts medical tourism, giving them added value and a greater competitiveness opportunities at the level of all the American continent, in the other hand this University will allow the development of a new industry, by producing typical medicinal plants of the TCM in free zones, located in rural areas, consolidating a new source of employment for thousands of farmers. This would have a huge advantage for the population that participates in the production processes; minding that this people would not have to change their place of residence nor migrate to the cities looking for better opportunities. In the last 20 years the World Health Organization on it's annual meetings has been repeatedly pointing out to governments the need for the use of Traditional Medicines in order to reduce costs and also to take advantage of all the cultural heritage in this field, following the example of countries like the People's Republic of China, which have managed to structure and systematize this knowledge in to their health, economical, social and political system. This project will promote and reinforce healthy relations between Costa Rica and China in various fields, such as:highest level education, health-technology development, tourism and investment attraction. The chain of productive development must be complemented with the proper training of specialists in the health sector, particularly physicians, pharmacists, veterinarians and dentists, whom should learn the correct use of the products used in Traditional Chinese Pharmacopoeia and Acupuncture. The opportunity that we have right now by offering academic knowledge in Acupuncture and the Traditional Chinese Medicine to the professionals of Health will enhance their chances to generate new added value to their professional services, also will allow them to compete in the aggressive market by applying the new-world medical tendencies, which at the same time are highly supported by the World Health Organization; with all of this, it will be possible to upgrade the environment of the Contemporary Medicine and the Superior Education.
