The focus of the school education should not only impart knowledge to students, but also cultivate the students' learning ability. Learning materials is a dialogue between the students and knowledge, through this activity, they can enter a wider area, to find, to experience, to actively explore thinking and then express their own views. During the whole process, the students not only acquire the knowledge, but also cultivate themselves in many aspects of learning ability. The study of the construction of the learning materials is of great significance relating to the cultivation of characteristic students and the enrichment of various education.In this paper, I use the structure of the DNA molecule as an example to explore the construction of high school biology material. It is divided into the following seven parts:The first part discusses the lodging cause of the study and the research status of both at home and abroad, the interpretation about the concept of learning materials and the research purpose, methods and significance.The second part introduces the theoretical basis of the construction of the high school biology material, respectively discusses the humanistic learning theory, constructive learning theory—anchored instruction model, cognitive development theory and meaningful reception learning theory.The third part is the principle of high school biology material writing. The arrangement of the high school biology material according to the objective law of students' learning, the unifying of scientific nature and ideological content and the principle of diversity, is conducive to students' learning.The fourth part explores the function of the high school biology material, standing in the view of the high school students. The meaning of the high school biology material is digged further. It is sure that high school biology material can arouse the students' interest in learning, encourage students to reconstruct the biological cognitive structure, help the students master learning methods and cultivate students' autonomous learning ability. To promote students' individual learning, a lot of feedback practices will be done to strengthen the students' self learning.The fifth part is about the structure of the DNA molecule concerning its knowledge content, and learning analysis. Based on this, I put forward the writing strategies and details of the learning materials about this theme.The sixth part is the examination results and analysis about the structure of the DNA molecule learning materials, through the interview and survey coming from the teachers and students. Its aim is to find the advantages and disadvantages of learning materials through an objective evaluation based on the above interview or survey.Last part summarizes the conclusion of this research. The benefits and drawbacks about the construction of high school biology materials are presented, as well as the future of its development.Through the exploration of the construction about the high school biology material, this paper concludes that the construction of the high school biology materials is necessary for students, teachers and schools. First of all, the high school biology material is not only help students acquire biological knowledge but also improve their self-study ability. Then it is so important to promote teachers to transfer their teaching mind through breaking the mind-sets. At last, it provides a creative aspect for the biology teaching itself and broadens its dimensionality. In a word, to build a good high school biology material, we need strive to explore, to practice and to innovate.
