School-based assessment in the public examinations of Hong Kong has a history of more than 30 years.The new educational system has implemented in high schools of Hong Kong since 2009.So the mainland and Hong Kong have more and more convergence,which the students will take part in a unified public examination after three years of high school study.Its particularity lies in that Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination also includes school-based assessment section.Chinese language in Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination firstly implemented school-based assessment since 2007.It has nearly 10 years' experience.This article is based on combing the history of school-based assessment in Hong Kong public examinations,expounding the background of Hong Kong high school Chinese language school-based assessment,implementation and some of the problems in the implementation process,aiming at the analysis of the present situation of the mainland high school's Chinese learning evaluation,which can bring some meaningful reference and enlightenment for our reform of college entrance examination.By analyzing the relevant information of the Hong Kong high school Chinese language's school-based assessment,there are four characteristics can be drawn.Firstly,school-based assessment effectively combing with learning and teaching,teachers can understand students' learning process through continuous evaluation,give them timely feedback;Secondly,school-based assessment and public examination are appropriately compatible.school-based assessment examines the students' ability which is not out in public examinations,but it must be observed and judged after a long period;Thirdly,school-based assessment aims to improve the validity of public examinations,making up for the deficiency of the one-time test.Finally,the revelation of Hong Kong high school Chinese language's school-based assessment to the mainland's reform of college entrance exam is: Focusing on formative evaluation,including the usual performance of the students' to the college entranceexamination;Paying attention to the comprehensive examination,improving the test structure of the college entrance examination;Attaching great importance to teachers' initiative,playing its role as the main body of evaluation;Focusing on the prophase preparation,to ensure the smooth implementation of the reform of evaluation;Facing up to the diversity of evaluation,highlighting the positive role Qualitative evaluation.
