In China, there are fifty six nationalities. Mongolian, as one of them, is an important branch of the country. Living in the grassland for a long time, Mongolians have their own language and cultures, which also distinguished the communications with the others. Nowadays, Mongolians have more and more chances to contact with the world, which enables them to use the foreign language as a communication tool. In the foreign language learning process, the negative transfer of first language is always the impediment of Mongolian students'English writing, however, is always termed as the important comprehensive competence of learners, which also influences the proficiency of learners. Accordingly, the negative transfer is always the heated topic among scholars and linguists. In the research, negative transfer errors in students'writing were identified and classified then analyzed.Consequently, the researcher chooses the students at Daban Mongolian Middle School as subjects and put forward the research questions as follows:1. What kinds of negative transfer errors have been made by the students at Daban Mongolian Middle schools?2. How are the common errors distributed among the English writing ofMongolian students at Daban Mongolian Middle school?3. In order to avoid or lessen the influence of first language negative Influence in Mongolian junior high school students'English writing, what kind of teaching strategy should be adopted by teachers?Based on the related theoretical theories of second language acquisition and previous studies, the interview and questionnaire will be adopted to investigate the negative transfer of Mongolian on Mongolian students' English writing. The author will investigate and collect the writing scripts from Mongolian students. Then the author finds the typical errors to explore the reasons. Finally, some pedagogical suggestions will be developed for teachers.1) Negative transfer of lexis:negative transfer of lexical meaning and word class.2) Negative transfer of grammar:Negative transfer of tense and sentence structure.The suggestions were given in accordance with the research results:1) Suggestions on teachers:teachers should use Mongolian to instruct English and apply contrastive method in English teaching process. Although, Chinese is Mongolian students'second language, Mongolian junior high school students'Chinese level is not very proficient. When teachers use Chinese as teaching language, it increases students'learning difficulty. Therefore, teachers should use Mongolian to teaching English. Moreover, the course book has a few contrastive analysis phenomena between Mongolian and English, which makes students confused about the similarities and differences between them. Therefore, teachers should compare the two languages in teaching process to facilitate Mongolian junior high school students'English writing and learning.2) Suggestions on teaching material:teachers should use Mongolian books and references books.3) Suggestions on classroom management:teachers should attach great importance to writing process and writing product. In the Six Chapter, A summary is presented and research disadvantages are pointed out and some advice are given for further research.
