The Influence Of Fitness Walking On College Students' Depression

By analyzing the influence of fitness walking on depressive symptoms comprehensively,can we know the benefits of fitness walking clearly.Consequently,the results laid the theoretical roots for setting college physical education.Also,the results improve the level of psychological health of college student undoubtedly.There are two experiments in this article.In experiment 1,we tested the effects of fitness walking for depression symptoms.In experiment 2,we explored the external factors affecting the effects of fitness walking.In experiment 1,104 undergraduate students(50 males and 54 females)who meet the requirement of BDI questionnaire participated in this study.All students were randomly divided into the fitness training group(54 students)and physical education training group(50 students).We train the group of fitness walking four times a week,every time 30-50 min,and a total of eight weeks.The group of physical education training for general education.Similar to fitness training group,eight weeks' training were conducted.Altogether 90 undergraduate students(46 males and 44 females)are involved in experiment 2.Subjects were randomly divided into nine groups.There are three training intensity groups(Low intensity group,moderate intensity group and high intensity group),six groups of different exercise frequency and time(1~2 times per week,below 30 min every time;1~2 times a week,more than 30 min each time;3~4 times a week,every time 30 min;3~4 times a week,every time more than 30 min;3~4 times a week,every time more than 30 min;More than five times per week,more than 30 min).weight,waist circumference,hip circumference,waist-to-hip ratio,abdominal skin fold,weight of body fat and lean body mass as the evaluation indexes of body shape and body composition.The results are as follows:(1)the boy walking in fitness training levels before and after the depression had very significantly decreased(P < 0.01),the girl in the depression level also had significant drop before and after the training,but the drop degree is less than boys(P < 0.05)and training before the boys and girls in depressive symptoms there exists a significant difference(P < 0.05),and go after the training in the gym this difference(P > 0.05).This shows that boys and girls before training there are gender differences in depression symptoms,depressive symptoms that are serious than female students.At the same time,the exercise effects of fitness walking there are gender differences,boys exercise effect is better than the girl.(2)in the experimental group boys and girls in the part of the body shape and body composition before and after the training there are differences between the change.After training boys,waist circumference,waist-hip ratio,abdominal skinfold,body fat weight fell significantly(P < 0.05),lean body mass were significantly increased(P < 0.05),and body weight,hip circumference before and after the training is not significant difference(P > 0.05);Girl group,waist circumference,abdominal skinfold after training,the body fat weight fell significantly(P < 0.05),lean body mass were significantly increased(P < 0.05),otherwise there is no significant change(P > 0.05).This shows that fitness walking on college students to improve the effects of body shape,body composition,and this effect there is a difference between men and women.In the experimental group and the control group after training in waist circumference,abdominal skinfold,body fat weight three aspects there are significant difference(P < 0.05),can it was concluded that the relative fitness of normal physical education,to reduce the waistline of college students(P < 0.05),lower abdominal skinfold(P < 0.01)and significantly reduce the body fat weight(P < 0.05).(3)for boys,is the most obvious effect of moderate intensity exercise walking(P < 0.01),and the intensity of small fitness effect is not obvious(P > 0.05).For girls,the effect is one of the most obvious is of moderate intensity exercise walking(P < 0.01),but the second is the low intensity of fitness walking(P < 0.05).(4)waist abdominal skinfold changes,the change of the change of the waist circumference and body fat weight and training before and after the change of depression was significantly positive correlation,the change of the lean body mass after training there is significant negative correlation with the changes in depressive symptoms.So we speculated that fitness can change people's physical quality and lower levels of depression.
