Objectives:To understand the knowledge of food safety and food safety consumption and handling behavior of grade two nursing students in Suzhou health school, and to explore the effective ways of promoting students' health and safety.looking for effective approach for developing health education,so as to provide basic information for future intervation studies.Methods:Referring to Chinese students' food safty knowledge, attitude and behavior questionnaire, “health school students food safety KAP questionnaire ” was self-designed.All the nursing students enrolled in 2013 were choosen.Results:1 Food safety knowledge and its influencing factorsThe average score of the students' food safety knowledge is 84.82±12.84, but just be good for easy and general safty knowledge, such as whether it can eat after the germination of potatoes and whether barbecue and fried food is harmful to our health,the accuracy is higher than 90%; the comparison of professional food safety knowledge is not satisfactory, such as which food aflatoxin existing in and what the expiration date mean, the accuracy is less than 60%, still need to carry out food safety education. The Analysis of covariance and t-test showed that the score of food safety knowledge among the students with different gender, home address, Single-parent familyd and parents'remind have significant difference(P <0.05), which can be considered as the influence factors of the students' food safety knowledge score.2 Food safety behavior and its influencing factorsThe average score of the students' food safety behavior is 74.18±12.86. The majority of students have good Food-Handling and Food-Consumption habits, but there are also a considerable part of students can not always adhere to their principles, they have some bad behaviors and ways of treatment occasionally. The Analysis of covariance and t-test showed that the food safety behavior score of different gender, whether the left-behind adolescent, father' occupation, education level of parents has significant difference(P<0.05). It can be considered as the influencing factors of food safety.3 Preferred place of respondents' purchasing behavior and factorsAccording to the results of the survey, 79.6% of the students choose to buy snacks in the school canteen, in primary consideration, 61.8% students first consider the distance,which is associated with the location and the environment of school, due to the remote location of the school, far from the city, surrounding facilities poor, the canteens are less,so students have to choose canteen in school. For dining places, 74.2% of the students will choose to eat in the school lunch service, 54.1% of the students' primary consideration are health, which show that the students are rational in having dinner, as a medical students, the reason maybe that the study of medical course make sure that they have a certain understanding, although pay attention to taste, but in the choice of the main meal,they are more concerned about health issues.4 Attitudes towards food safetySurvey results show that the students have a low degree of attention to food safety,45.5% of the students concerned about food safety, only 6.9% of the students very concerned about food safty, which is not consistent with the food safety knowledge and behavior score, the reason may be that, as medical students, a lot of food safety knowledge is passive acceptance. Over 50% of the students are not satisfied with the current food safety, they have lost confidence of food safety in our country. And students' attitude towards food security is also lacking, nearly 90% of the students think it is necessary to carry out food safety education activities, but less than 50% of the students are willing to participate these activities frequently, and many students are reluctant to told around for food safety knowledge, there is a "stay out of the way" thought, it is necessary to be corrected.5 Most concerned issues about food safetySurvey results show that 33.5% of the students are concerned about the health status.28.5% of the students are most concerned about food additives, 25% of the students are most concerned about fake and shoddy products, 13% people are concerned about pesticide residues.6 Ways to obtain food safety knowledgeAccording to the results of the survey, 7.3% of the students choose to newspapers,brochures, 38.5% students through television, Internet access to knowledge, 27.9%students is through the propaganda and education of the teacher, 20.2% students through their parents acquire knowledge, 6.1% students from friends, classmates, access to information.Conclusion:Through the investigation and analysis, the students of the health school have a good understanding to the general food safety knowledge, but the professional food safety knowledge are lacking. Students have a good food safety habits, but many students lack the initiative, food safety attitude is not enough. Therefore, in view of the current problems, we still need to carry out food safety knowledge popularization education, to enhanced their food safety knowledge, and further improve food safety awareness,develop good habits and food processing behavior.Advices:1 The government should strict food related industry access system, strengthen the regular inspection and supervision of food related businesses, the government should pass the administrative legislation, increase the food safety violations of the punishment,and give incentives to the food assured businesses.2 The government should hold a number of food safety publicity and education activities, such as supermarkets, square that people gather, to hold food safety knowledge education.3 The school introduced competition mechanism into the school cafeteria and the canteen, strengthen the inspection of the cafeteria sanitation facilities, strict the school cafeteria staff's health examination. Improve the emergency plan for food safety incidents.4 Schools should make food safety courses universal, more food safety sminars and knowledge contests and other activities should be held, so that students have a full grasp of common food safety incidents may cause consequences and the emergency treatment measures to which.
