Research About Statistical Analysis On Application Data Of WTA Player

Analysis of data has been come into every aspect of people's lives and it's very common using in sports. In the tennis games, it has achieved certain progress in quantifying the games into data for analysis. It's a significant way to improve player's athletics level through figuring out the key factors of the data.With the Literature method and Mathematical statistics method research WTA player techniques and tactics of WTA player, the data of 1476 games in 2013?2014?2015 women Four Grand Slams singles can be analysis. These data are collected in the real time publication of the official website, with the authenticity and credibility.Studying 14 technical indicators, we summarize 5 kinds of category, category A: for the service class including Aces, First Serves In, First Serve Points Won, Second Serve Points Won, Double Faults, Fastest Serve, Average First Serve Speed, Average Second Serve Speed; Category B: for application of the technique and tactical, including Unforced Faults, Winners; Category C :for the Receiving, including the Receiving Points Won, Break Points Won; Category D: the tactics in the net, including Net Points Won; Category E : total score, including Total Points Won. With the SPSS statistical software, 14 technical indicators are analyzed in 5 ways, including Frequencies, Significance Test, Factor Analysis, Regression, Discriminant Analysis.The main results: After Significance Test, it found out the indicators between 3years have different degrees of differences and some of them are very obviously,besides 2015 overall indicators show that women's tennis tournament style is more offensive.Using Principal components method to test the technical indicators, it gets eight common factors which' s contribution rate is 86.79%. From the overall distribution of the comprehensive score, it shows that the Chinese female tennis players have reached the world class level.Using the Integrated Score as the dependent variable, with the Stepwise method of Regression, we can know the main technical indicators that affect the overall score are Total Points Won, Break Points Won, Average First Serve Speed, and Net Points Won. Using the outcome of the game as the dependent variable, with the Stepwise method of Discriminant Analysis towards 14 indicators in 2015 WTA Four Grand Slam, we can know there are 4 key technical indicators mainly affect the outcome, the Receiving Points Won, First Serve Points Won, Second Serve Points Won and FirstServes In, and then combined the 4 key technical indicators with the Frequencies, we can divided 4 grade standards, according to these standards, sort out the results of Chinese WTA players in 2015 Four Grand Slam, we can know the Chinese WTA players' First Serves In success rate was in the middle level of whole, The First Serve Points Won, Second Serve Points Won, Receiving Points Won success rate were generally in the middle of lower level.With multiple ways to analyze 14 technical index data of the WTA players in Four Grand Slam and all of them are comply with the conditions, it reflects the technical and tactical characteristics of WTA players under large data sample effectively which provide objective reference for our country's WTA athletes in technical and tactical application.
