According to the self-determination theory, internal and external motivation is a continuum, and when the external motivation offers enough condition it can transfer to internal condition. According to the studies, the external and internal motivation shows a positive correlation with the students' performance. During the study period, how to promote the external motivation into the internal one should be the goal of education. However,there are some requirements for the transformation from external motivation to internal motivation, including liberty, competence and relationship.Therefore, how to meet the students' demands through adjusting the educational resources is very important. The self-control ability of junior school students is experiencing a transformation, during which period it transfers into consciousness from spontaneity. It will be of great importance for the students' development to improve the spontaneous ability of study. In the management of education, many schools take the awards as a good way to help the students develop good study habits. Educational awards could help increase the students' emotional experience in study and be aware of the importance of study. It can also promote the sense of self-control in study and transfer the requirements of schools into their own positive study process.Therefore, to learn about the influence of educational awards in the transformation of external motivation is very significant for providing directions to education career.Based on the Self-Regulation of Learning Questionnaire reversed by Bao Zhanguang, this research did a survey among the students in No. N Middle School of Hohhot. To summarize the features of internalization of study motivation, this research relies on the independent sample T test and one-way analysis of variance. Natural experimental method is also used and the pre-test and analysis of homogeneity have been done. Then we chose twoclasses who showed little difference in internalization to make a comparison and selected experimental group and reference group at random to make sure if the awards has influenced the internalization of study motivation. Lastly,this paper will make some suggests on how to improve the educational motivation.Followings are the conclusions of the research:1.The identities of learning are the most important motivation of students.Introjection and integrated regulation ranked the second in terms of motivation and the external adjustment accounts the least. Generally speaking,the internalization of middle school students is rather high;2.In terms of the degree of internalization, except for the external adjustment, the difference among other measures is obvious and the degree of the third grade is much lower than other grades;3.There is a very high difference among the students in the internalization of study motivation. Obviously, the boys performed better than the girls in external adjustment but the former performed worse than the latter in relative independent factor;4.There is on obvious difference in terms of management ability between the high grades group and the low one. But the difference in the autonomy is outstanding and the autonomy of the high grades group is higher than the lower one;5.According to the research, the educational awards have promoted the internalization of study motivation and the influence can be seen from many aspects;6. Educational awards can meet the students' demands in ability, liberty and relationship and then promote the internalization of study motivation;7.There are different demands among the students in terms of the kinds of awards and the spiritual awards can produce a more obvious influence than material awards;In conclusion, the identity motivation is the most important motivation for the junior students and the educational awards can really play a positiveeffect in promoting the study motivation of young students.
