In recent years, the mental health of middle school students has attracted widespread attention from schools, parents and society.Junior high school students are in the high-incidence stage of problem behaviors, with great emotional ups and downs, unstable, and frequent anxiety and depression. These are common internalized problem behaviors at this stage, which seriously damage the physical and mental health of students. Moreover, junior high school students have low self-control and are prone to impulsive behavior. At the same time, with the release of the "two-child" and "three-child" policies, the parent-child relationship is facing many challenges, and the relationship between junior high school students and their parents is often tense and alienated. Therefore, exploring the relationship between parent-child relationship(Parent-child affinity),Self-control and Internalization problems of junior high school students can help to provide important empirical support for reducing internalization problems of junior high school students and improving parent-child relationship, which has certain practical significance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between parent-child affinity,self-control and internalization of junior high school students,to examine the mediating effect of self-control and its stability across groups(such as gender, only child, birth order,etc.).On the basis of targeted education recommendations. The study used a combined cross-sectional and longitudinal design. The first study is a cross-sectional study, using "Parent-Child Affinity Scale","Short Self-Control Scale","PHQ-9" and "Anxiety Self-rating Scale" to investigate 1488 students in the first and second grades of junior high school; The second study was a longitudinal study, which conducted follow-up measurements on 668 junior high school students at 6-month intervals. The mediation model was constructed using Mplus 7.4.Research indicates:(1)The detection rate of moderate and above depression among junior high school students was 34.2%;the detection rate of anxiety was 16.1%.(2)The mediating effect of self-control between mother-child bonding or father-son bonding and depression or anxiety was significant. There are significant differences between groups in the birth order of the four mediation models. The overall trend is: first-born children rely more on mother-child bonding or father-child bonding to relieve depression or anxiety, while second-born children rely more on self-control to reduce depression or anxiety.(3)The mediating effect of self-control between the first measured T1 mother-child affinity or father-child affinity and the second measured T2 depression or anxiety were significant. There are differences in the models in terms of whether they are only children, birth order and family location. The overall trend is: non-only children, second children, rural children rely more on self-control to reduce their depression or anxiety, only children,first-born children, urban children Children rely more on mother-child bonding or father-son bonding to reduce depression or anxiety. The research results suggest that we should pay attention to internalized problems such as depression and anxiety of junior high school students;strengthen the positive interaction between parents and children to improve parent-child intimacy;enhance students' self-control ability to reduce internalized problems;According to the different characteristics presented in the location,we will teach students in accordance with their aptitude,so as to achieve precise intervention and training.
