With the development of economic globalization,the development of global education presents the trends of " international education ".In twenty-first Century,our country has carried on a new round of reform to the basic education.The main emphasis of the new reform of basic education,As the medium of teaching and learning of students,teaching material is the teaching and learning of learning resources and a tool of self-controlled learning ability,at the same time,it is also an important factor that affects the level of education.But at the same time,“amount of substance” that runs through the whole system of high school chemistry knowledge is an important node of the concept of chemistry and a bridge that connects the macro with micro,qualitative with quantitative,it is also a difficult point of students from compulsory education to high school career,it will influence students' further learning if mishandled.Through the analysis and comparison of chemical teaching material of America and three existing versions of chemical teaching materials of China,we hope to seek enlightenment for preparation of materials in our country.The essay is mainly to compare American chemical teaching material with three versions of Chinese chemical teaching materials in the “amount of substance”,three versions of Chinese chemical teaching materials use that published in 2015 chemistry I(obligatory),American chemical teaching material use that published in 2008?Chemistry: concepts and applications?.It is mainly used the literature research and comparative research methods,and determines the model of teaching material analysis,the essay introduces the curriculum standard,the teaching material structure and the content presented,and compare those.The six conclusions are as follows :(1)The selection of the content of “amount of substance” in the three versions is consistent with the requirements of the new curriculum standard,and the content is definitely similar.However,in American curriculum standards,the American teaching material can not find the requirements of “amount of substance”,what is more,it selects the content of “amount of substance” is more and wide.(2)In the arrangement for “amount of substance”,the domestic three versions is slightly different,although they are all arranged in the first chapter or the first topic of the teaching material,as a whole,the arrangement of the knowledge system is different.The American teaching material set it up in the twelfth chapter and the thirteen chapter,and studying life experience as the starting point,create the situation that improve student's meaningful learning,and then lay the foundation for meaningful construction.(3)The body content of the domestic three versions are mainly about the description of the related concepts of “amount of substance” and expression of formulas.The American version are both the description of the conception group of “amount of substance” and the perfect gas law,theoretical yield,empirical formula that are associated with the content,and so on,it emphasizes the application of knowledge and pay attention to the extension of knowledge.(4)The number of columns of PEP and Jiangsu edition are less than Luke edition,the American version is the most,its columns through teaching links: lessons,classes,after-school and can provide a large number of rich situation that can stimulate students' interest and build the scientific exploring abilities of students.(5)The total number of chart in the domestic three versions is about the same,the American version is the most.More than half chart are from the scene that are associated with life,the chart in the American version adopt more authenticity and intimacy photography that can increase the fun of reading and give students an immersive feeling.(6)The number of praxises and exercises in the domestic three versions are about the same which are mainly related to calculation,and its openness is not high.The number of praxises and exercises in the American version are obviously more than the domestic versions,it is related to set the content of “amount of substance” alone as a chapter,the diverse praxises and exercises in the American version follow the principle of doing it step by step,in order to promote students to grasp the effective concept.The standardized testing is helpful for the improvement of students' ability and knowledge.This essay tries to find out the characteristics of the American teaching material by comparison,I hope to draw some useful information for the preparation of materials,which is used by the preparation of “amount of substance” in country.
