| "Amount of substance" is an important part of PEP edition chemistry textbook (compulsory â… ), which is in the second quarter, application of stoichiometry in experiments, of the first chapter, learning chemistry from experiments. In this study, the problems of learning amount of substance of fresh students of middle high school were investigated, and the causes were analyzed and the corresponding solutions were made, in order to give suggestions of teaching chemistry.Several reasons of having difficulty in learning amount of substance were found by questionnaire survey and interview:(1) lack of basic knowledge and ability to integrate the knowledge; (2) inappropriate learning methods and insufficient ability of learning; (3) lack or inappropriate methodology of education from school and family.Based on these findings, the corresponding teaching strategies were come up with: (1) to develop the interest of the students and to create problems in a meaningful situation; (2) to enhance the basic knowledge and to develop good habits of learning of the students; (3) to evaluate the students multiorientationally and to develop personality of the individual; (4) to communicate sufficiently and to develop harmony relationship with the studnets; (5) to pay attention to ability of experiments and to develop thinking scientifically.In the first chapter of this paper, the background, origins and domestic and overses progresses of study of teaching were introduced. In the second chapter, amount of substance was defined, and the content of amount of substance was analyzed. In the third chapter, a study design part, the objectives, objects, content, thought and methodology were discussed. In the fourth chapter, the study results were stated, uncovering and summarizing the caused of problems of difficulty in studying amount of substance. In the fifth chapter, the strategies were stated according to the results of the fourth chapter. The last chapter contains results. |
