It is during the stage of recerving and serving the ball and the stalemate stage that the timing of applying screwing and pulling the ping-pang ball within the tablel appeared in the 16 games of the 53 rd world table tennis championships men’s singles.During the stage of recerving and serving the ball, it was used 398 times(81.2%), and92 times(18.8%) dduring the stalemate stage. This shows that athletes will choose to attack at the first time and strive to score in the first three shots. Thus the athletes will be greatly encouraged to attack and this skill will also be further developed. During the stage of receiving serving the ball, athletes should apply this skill to attack and actively mobilize the other part so as to score the winning goal.3. In the the 16 games of the 53 rd world table tennis championships men’s singles, the forehand dominates in the batting position of screwing and pulling the ping-pang ball within the tablel(223 times), while the middle stroke(124 times) and a backhand shot(139 times) supplement. The backhand dominates the placement of the returning ball(333times), while forehand ball(99 times) and returning the ball in the middle(35 times) supplement. Although this result confirms the concept of no dead angle while attacking in the table of modern table tennis, but the application of screwing and pulling the ping-pang ball within the tablel shows the characteristics that the forehand stroke and returning the ball backhand dominate, which calls for the high attention of the coaches.4. Direct score and the opportunity of scoring amount to 278times(56.7%). Direct failure and the returning of the service being hit amount to 212times(43.3%), which shows that this skill contributes much to the athletes to win.Skill efficiency is the evaluation of athletes’ application of this skill and is also the focus of competitive performance. The skill effeciency of screwing and pulling the ping-pang ball within the tablel of this world table tennis championships will play arole in applying this skill. The main purpose of the event analysis is to explore its guiding effect for the training and competition practice in the future. It is in this sense, this paper suggests that young athletes should improve the skill of screwing and pulling the ping-pang ball within the tablel pertinently, pay attention to the timing of applying this skill and the back ball placement so as to get a higher skill efficiency in the game.
