Physical quality is important as cultural quality for primary school students.Schools should try any means to improve their student's physical and intelligence level.As a popular sport,table tennis proves a promising activity to improve both.Many researches in psychology science have revealed that teenagers who love table tennis show higher intelligence,stronger physique and faster reaction than those who do not.Therefore it is of great importance to involve table tennis in school life.Further,to generalize table tennis among citizens,promote the school education reformation and reinforce quality education,study on the development of table tennis courses has certain practical significance.Table tennis is itself a science.Through various forms of exercise it makes people stronger,grow healthily,and entertains their life,at the same time exhibit the national table tennis culture,Allowing people to improve their physical and mental quality,promoting the construction of socialist spiritual civilization and the comprehensive development of China society.As table tennis gains popularity in China,it brings great effect on the whole development in China society.In nowadays society,primary school students playing table tennis becomes a social trend.First,propagating "national sport";Second,improving body quality;Third,cultivating pupils' competing spirit,improving their psychological quality of;Finally,no matter winning or losing,table tennis provide certain personality education.So,it is necessary to actively promote table tennis.This study takes teachers and students in 50 primary schools in Dalian as research object.Questionnaire,logical analysis and other methods are employed,aiming at revealing the status of table tennis equipments,teacher resource,courses,activities,and students in Dalian primary schools through comprehensive analysis of the influence factors.According to the results,we draw the following conclusions:(1)The amount of equipments in most Dalian primary schools do not meet the ordinary class requirement.(2)Teacher resource do not meet the ordinary class requirement.(3)Inadequate emphasis from school leaders.(4)Lacing of table tennis courses.We also give suggestions:(1)Establish estimating criteria for table tennis equipments though Dalian.(2)Provide proper table tennis training for employed PE teachers who are not professional in table tennis.(3)Promote matches among schools,and teams in each school in Dalian at least once a season,awarding trophies,certifications and other prize,to improve the emphasis of school leaders on this sport.(4)Through propaganda in schools to improve students' interest in learning table tennis and disseminate table tennis knowladge.
