Mathematics as a scientific discipline, can cultivate the students’ thinking, develop the students’ mind. On the other hand, the level of the students’ thinking ability is also directly affect the level of the ability of students’ mathematics learning, so how to improve in the practical teaching to cultivate students’ mathematical thinking ability is a very worth studying topic. Now environment affected by the exam-oriented education, many teachers will improve the students’ test scores as the focus of teaching, ignoring the improvement of the students’ comprehensive quality, influenced the development of students’ mathematical thinking positive. The more to explore how to effectively cultivate students mathematical thinking become an important research direction.In this paper, based on theory of mathematical thinking and thinking, this paper analyzed the characteristics of middle school students’ mathematical thinking and may face obstacles.On the basis of these theories through the investigation and analysis of hainan normal university affiliated middle school of mathematical thinking development problems in the experimental class middle school students’ learning, offers theory to explore the practical basis. In theory and practical basis for the study of case type teaching method is proposed on the basis of the development of students’ mathematical thinking good solution and in the square root and the arithmetic square root of a class to implement and monitor. Finally through the analysis of case teaching in the process of the use of different teaching strategies,put forward the key points need to be aware of: in the case teaching in the process of teaching,strengthen the emotion education, create a good learning environment to enhance students’ interest in learning; Attaches great importance to the cultivation of the students mathematical thinking traits, such as the rigor of scientific; To strengthen the teaching of mathematical way of thinking, strengthen the students’ mathematical thinking of autonomy; Emphasize reflection on teaching, strengthen the knowledge construction ability. Based on the study case of teaching strategies and reasonable use of the right choice to cultivate students’ mathematical thinking ability, to make the students from learning mathematics knowledge into training mathematics quality, for the students to lay a good foundation for lifelong learning.
