Task-based language teaching approach refers to the teachers can guide the students to complete the task in class.It has become popular since 1980 s,and it is the development of the communicative language teaching approach.Task-based language teaching approach can not only arouse the students’ learning interests,but also can develop their integrated skills,and at the same time,it can be really students-centered.While using task-based language teaching approach,every student can have the chance to take part in the activity positively,which is likely to be beneficial for them to keep active in class.Although task-based language teaching approach is well-known,there still exists some problems,for example,whether the complexity of the task is applicable to all students,whether the task is pragmatic or not and so on.There are a large number of previous studies,but the previous studies mainly focused on the upper student,and ignored the lower students.And this thesis aims to further find out whether task-based language teaching approach is also suitable for the students whose English level is a little poor.This experiment will select the students of senior 1 of No.16 Middle School in Zhengzhou,and during the experiment,tests,questionnaires and interview will be used as research instruments,and this experiment will last for five months.From the statistics of the experimental results,it can be seen that after using task-based language teaching approach,the students in experimental class have got great promotion,and meanwhile,task-based language teaching approach can better arouse students’ interests in English learning.
