Since the implementation of reform and opening up, China's social economy has undergone profound changes, along with the acceleration of urbanization and industrialization, which lead to the large-scale population flow. According to the push and pull theory of population, the causes of flow population is the result of the interaction between the thrust force and the force of the inflow which plays an important in urbanization development, thus becomes the main force of urban population growth, at the same time is also becomes a hot research topic in the academic circles. In the context of a comprehensive social reform in our country, in order to promote the orderly population flow and adapt to the corresponding increase of urbanization level, which will help to break up the dual structure between urban and rural areas, and thus promote the urban-rural integration, finally it has an important significance of achieving well-off society.Based on China's census from 2000 to 2010, by using the spatial analysis function of GIS, first of all, this paper respectively from the provincial and municipal levels to analysis the spatial distribution and spatial correlation between inflow population and outflow population. Secondly, the paper analyzes the spatial pattern, spatial correlation and spatial evolution characteristics of urbanization. Finally, by using bivariate spatial correlation to analysis the spatial coupling between floating rate and urbanization Space, and Durbin econometric model and GWR model, which was from the point of spatial econometrics view, to measure the effects of floating pupulation on urbanization. The main conclusions as follows:From the spatial distribution of the floating population, province and city are imbalance. And the high provincial inflow population scale distribute in the eastern coastal area, low population scale distribute in the in the Midwest, and the outflow population growth is obvious, the scope of the high outflow area has expanded, while the low outflow area is narrowed.; the inflow rate is shows " on both sides of high, intermediate low"; which the outflow rate is in contrast with the inflow rate, which is expressed as "middle high and low side"; floating population in the prefecture-level cities take the "Hu line" as the boundary, on the southeastern side of Hu Line has been increased highly, while that on the northwestern side of Hu Line has been basically unchanged. And the spatial distribution of outflow and inflow population into a complementary relationship as a whole on the southeastern side of Hu Line, and the low outfow and low infow areas were mainly distributed on the northwestern side of Hu Line. From the spatial correlation index of floating population, the inflow and outflow rates showed significant positive spatial correlation and there is an agglomeration characteristic in the inflow rate, and the spatial distribution of the outflow rate is a slightly "core periphery structure"; the hot areas in the prefecture-level cities were expanded, while cold spots were narrowed, the outflow population was changed from "multi core" to "dual core", and cold spots were still on the northwestern side of Hu Line.In 2000, the whole of urbanization rate is low and the difference is significant, showing a certain scale grade, urbanization rate in 2010 has greatly improved, the high value areas are expanded, while low areas are shrinked. Among of them the high level areas are mainly distributed in the eastern coastal and inland provincial areas or regional cities, and the low level areas are distributed in the periphery of the developing area in the west; from the growth rate, the high value area appears East sparse, low value areas are scattered, and the average annual growth rate of high level units are mainly distributed in the ethnic minority in of central and western regions, resource-based cities and outflow population with agricultural areas. The bivariate spatial autocorrelation showed that infloat rate and urbanization have a significant positive related, and high- low type areas and the low- low type areas are mainly distributed in the west, while the low – high is mainly located in the periphery of the developed eastern region. The regression results of space Durbin econometric model shows that both inflow rate and outflow rate have a positive effect on urbanization, and GWR model shows that the regression coefficient of inflow rate of urbanization are all positive, presents decreasing from west to east, while the effect of outflow rate on urbanization are all negative, which is decreasing from the northeast to the southwest.
