For preschool children, 3-6 years old is a critical period of eating behavior establishment and development. Good eating behavior helps children absorb reasonable and balanced nutrition to ensure the healthy development of the body. However, children's diet experts and parents believe eating behavior problems among children generally exist, which need to be resolved in a timely manner. At the same time, the incidence of child obesity gradually increased in recent years, and dietary factors are the main factors of obesity in children. Therefore, the author combine obesity and eating behavior problems to compare eating behavior between normal weight children and obese children. Furthermore, the author will analyze the causes of the differences in dietary behavior, so as to provide scientific basis for the development of healthy eating behavior. This study understand the differences of eating behavior between normal weight children and obese children by means of questionnaire, and deepen the knowledge of the reasons for the differences of children's eating behavior using interview method. The results: 1. In Anshan City, the prevalence rate of obesity in preschool children was15.55%. 2. There were significant differences on the scores of food responsiveness, satiety responsiveness, external eating, emotional eating, and initiative eating ability between normal weight children and obese children but no difference on food fussiness and unhealthy eating habits. 3. Obese children have better appetite, larger food intake and stronger initiative eating ability than normal weight children. However, the food intake of the normal weight children are less affected by emotion than obese children's, but more affected by external factors such as tableware, dining atmosphere and so on.According to the survey, the author put forward the following suggestions: Kindergarten should strengthen the implementation of health education. Parents should cultivate healthyliving habits of children. Finally children's parents and teachers should play an exemplary role through the cooperation between them. In short, the kindergarten and family should work together to promote children's physical and mental development.
