Childhood is an important stage in the development of behavior habits.Developing healthy eating habits can not only meet the needs of the growth and development of the body,but also promote the formation of good character and quality.Effective meal education can help children form a civilized sense of eating,change their healthy attitude,develop good eating habits and lifestyle,and promote the overall and harmonious development of children’s body and mind.In this study,30 children in a small class of H kindergarten were taken as the research objects to observe their eating behaviors in the kindergarten during breakfast,lunch and dinner.The six aspects of children’s washing hands before meals,independence of eating,speed of eating,concentration of eating,picky eating,and enthusiasm of finishing after meals were analyzed.It was found that a small number of children had pre meal behaviors Hand washing awareness: most children’s hand washing methods are not correct;eating independence is strong,but there are situations in which teachers and parents take the initiative to feed food;eating speed in the park is generally too fast,and some children eat too fast or too slow;eating is easily interfered by the outside world;the situation of picky eating varies from person to person,involving a variety of food types;the enthusiasm of post meal finishing is high,and there is a sense of initiative to wipe the mouth and clean the desktop,But the gargle after meal was ignored.Based on the data of observation and interview,the author concludes that the main factors that affect children’s eating behavior include children’s own development characteristics,food characteristics and cooking methods,teachers’ personality characteristics and education concepts,kindergarten dining environment,family eating concepts and habits.How to carry out meal education according to the meal characteristics of small class children,consolidate and transfer the good meal behaviors of children,correct their bad meal behaviors,the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures:guide their meal behaviors according to their own development characteristics;process food according to children’s preferences,increase children’s food acceptability;improve the level of meal education by teachers;construct appropriate kindergartenFood environment;parents set up a correct concept of food education.By carrying out effective meal education,we can develop children’s ability of self-management,self-service and serving others on the basis of cultivating their good eating behavior,and lay a solid and stable foundation for their future life.
