With the development of science and technology, new media technology such as micro-channel, microblogging and other new media applications in our daily life is widely used. As gradually declining of traditional media, the new media have spung up and occupied the market. For new media enjoy the advantages which traditional media do not have. Such as sharing,interactivity, and effectiveness. contemporary college students are major users of new media, while Worldviews, Outlook on life and values not yet formed among students, and new media is full of information from which we cannot distinguish pros or cons. Some even reflect wrong values,and "Money worship" "utilitarian" ? among college students. New media is bringing the opportunities and challenges to the socialist core values.This paper focuses on the research and analysis of the affection on the socialist core values education for college students, demonstrates, students' understanding and using of the new media by collecting questionnaires among students in five universities of Jilin Province. grasp the affection of new media on Socialist Core Values of Contemporary College Students.This research figures a current situation of the new media applications in socialist core values education. as well as the values among students at present.Centering on characteristics of socialist core values, outstanding problems and the reasons under the new media environment, suggestions and strategies are given in order to lead students to establish correct socialist core values.
