Study Of The University Motto As The Carrier To Educate Socialist Core Values

Socialist core values which was put forward during the party's 18 th as the value of the guiding ideology of the era, is of profound strategic significance to our country and determines the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The general secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that the youth of the value orientation determines the value orientation of the whole society, and the socialist core values directly have led to the formation of college students' correct scientific values and behaviors. Motto, as crown of university culture and an invisible education resource, has motivated, constrained,agglomerated and affected many students and played a special role in the moral education.Therefore, to explore through “introduction to” education teaching to enhance students' emotion identity of socialist core values theory of identification and value identification,students can consciously cultivate and practice the socialist core values, which is of significance for the socialist core values to be internalized in heart and also externalized in normal life.Fisrt of all, I analyzed the relationship between Motto and Socialist core values based on the research of relevant literature, which illustrated the history, the transverse meaning and function of our university motto and explained the reason why the motto as a method of the socialist core value education. Then I carried the empirical research and again analyzed the reason from three dimensions, including object, subject and social background of cause analysis. Finally, I tried to conclude an effective way to improve the the timeliness and pertinence of socialist core value view education from five steps: “get to know the motto”, “identify with motto”, “internalized the motto”, “practice the motto”.
