| Athletes’ sports ability be performed effectively has direct impact on their competition score, psychological arousal affected great concerns for sports psychologists as its important role in sports state. However, researchers often confuse psychological arousal and physiological arousal when they study the relationship between arousal and performance. So the author reviewed conceptions of them and their measurements, methods of operation as well.This paper selected psychological arousal as independent variable and studied its influence on the performance of golf in intensity and direction. The experiment adopted way of emotional film and music to operate the intensity and direction levels of psychological arousal, and used pre-experiment to examine the operation effect. Psychological arousal is measured by athletes’ psychological arousal scale which was compiled and revised by professor Qi Changzhu. The performance of golf is measured by long distance putt. High level golf athletes are students who got national second level(or more than second level) athletes title or have 3 years’ professional experience of golf(or more than 3 years) in golf, novice golf players are students who take golf selective course for six months. The formal experiment studies influence of the intensity and direction of psychological arousal on golf performance, influence of the psychological arousal’s four levels(combined by intensity and direction, positive-high, positive-low,negative-high, negative-low)on expert and novice golf players’ performance. The results shows that:(1)Psychological arousal’s direction has significant impact on golf long distance push rod, positive psychological arousal shows better scores than negative psychological arousal.(2) Impacts of Psychological arousal’s intensity to golf long distance push rod is not significant, the grades under positive-high level is better than under positive-high, while the grades under negative-high is lower than under negative-low.(3)The interaction between direction and intensity didn’t yield a significant impact on golf long distance push rod.(4)Sports level and psychological arousal level both have significant affects on golf long distance push rod, but not their interaction influence. Positive-high level’s score was improved significantly by high level golf players than novice players.(5)Negative-high level shows stronger damage on golf long distance push rod scores by novice players than expert players. |
