On The Philippine National Capital Region Public High School Mandarin Students' Perceptual Learning Styles

Different students will use different learning styles during their learning. If the teachers could observe the student's learning styles and also tendency of students in the class. They can flexibly arrange suitable teaching methods. Furthermore, the teachers could help students know their own learning styles, while students could foster strengths and avoid weaknesses to improve their learning efficiency.Similarly, we should focus on learning styles in the research of teaching Chinese as a second language. The learning styles of learners are more or less in common. But we should pay more attention to the personality. In the trend of globalization, it is more important to research learning styles of different countries'students. In the process of teaching, Chinese teachers not only think about how to teach Chinese from their own perspective, but also pay more attention to different countries and the characteristics of each student who is different from others. Only from the perspective of students, teachers can arrange the most efficient teaching.Nowadays, Chinese as a foreign language has entered public high school in the Philippines. It is very significant.How to help public high school mandarin students to improve Chinese level needs the joint efforts of local teachers and Chinese volunteers. I choose perceptual learning style as the research. There are two reasons. First, other learning style types are abstract to understand. It is not easy for Chinese teachers to observe and make suitable adjustments. Second, perceptual learning style type is concrete. It is easy for Chinese teachers to understand students'learning styles and change teaching methods quickly. Students could find the most suitable perceptual learning style to study Mandarin.Therefore, the research will investigate the whole situation of public high school students' perceptual learning style on the Philippines NCR. I compared students' perceptual learning style with scores.And I try to seek the suitable teaching methods. I hope that it could provide some references to Chinese teaching in the Philippines.
