Under the background of social transformation, with the development of the market economy and the rise of "Peasant worker rush", great changes have taken place in rural society, especially the farmer's family management pattern has had the obvious change. After the reform and opening up, farmer's family management has changed into semi-working and semi-farming from family combination of planting and breeding. According to relevant data, semi-working and semi-farming has become primary management mode of farmers, more than 70% of the farmers in our country. Using "the moral peasants" and "the rational peasants", this paper mainly analyzes why farmers change the policy of family when facing the social transformation of China.Taking the Yuan village from AnHui province as an example and using "the moral peasants" and "the rational peasants" theory, this paper analyze the present Yuan village farmer family is for what purpose to choose semi-working and semi-farming? Is "moral peasants", "rational peasants" or the combination of two kinds of reason or the game between the two?Through on-the-spot investigation, the author found that most of the villagers' families choose half -working and half-farming, which can not only reflect the survival ethic of "moral" small-scale farming, also reflect the" rational "peasants pursuit of utility maximization. Traditional farming culture of feelings for native land, resistance to market instability, "safety first" survival ethics are the Yuan village of farmers the main cause of adhering to the agricultural production. Under the background of market economy, the peasant-worker can realize reasonable division of labor in the family, and achieve the increase of household income and wealth accumulation, thus achieving reproduction of peasant family. So, the author thinks semi-working and semi-farming not only reflect "moral economy", can also "rational peasants", both under the existence of rational as a whole, constantly weighing and gaming, then achieving mutual symbiosis and transformation. Therefore, the behavior of the peasants in China embodies the game between the moral and rational.
