We report the results of laboratory experiments that examine whether framing and social value orientation influence dictators' prosocial behavior. We examine these impacts in a three-person dictator game in which a third person is introduced as the second recipient. There are two treatments in our experiments. In one frame, dictators are allocated with 60 tokens and asked to allocate them with two recipients, while in the other, dictators are allocated with two sum of 30 tokens and asked to allocate each share with one recipient separately. After finishing the dictator game, subjects participate another game which is used to measure their social value orientation. In our paper,we find that framing does have a significant impact on dictators' transfers. When deciding wholly, dictators tend to allocate more to the first recipient and allocate less to themselves.
