There have many precious books and phenomenon of Knowledge advocacy in Mongolian civil society,however,there are few written records,mostly are spread in talks and folk customs.Book Ovoo in Uxin Banner,Ordos City,Inner Mongolia,China is a product of Ovoo belief and Knowledge advocacy,and together with “Biligin Sang”(Think Tank)Mongolian Book Worship Library and “Biligin Sang” Mongolian Book Publishing and Printing Museum provides convenience for people to obtain knowledge,while forming book themed cultural activities and constituting book and Knowledge advocating cultural space.Based on anthropological perspective,field investigation method and literature research,this paper studies Book Ovoo,“Biligin Sang”Mongolian Book Worship Library and “Biligin Sang” Mongolian Book Publishing and Printing Museum and its related cultural activities.The paper consists of three chapters.The first chapter introduces the origin and development of Book Ovoo,and keeps a detailed record and description of the process of Ovoo worship ceremony.The second chapter introduces the overview of “Biligin Sang” Mongolian Book Worship Library,Mongolian book worship ceremony,and other cultural and recreational activities after the ceremony.The third chapter takes Book Ovoo,“Biligin Sang” Mongolian Book Worship Library and “Biligin Sang” Mongolian Book Publishing and Printing Museum as representatives and analyzes the reasons of formation and existence of the phenomenon of Knowledge advocacy in Mongolian civil society and discusses its social and cultural roles in cultural space construction,culture exhibition and knowledge promotion,national culture heritage,cultural and national identity promotion etc.
