With the influences of 21st century knowledge and skills on education has become deeper and deeper,educational researchers were eager to create a kind of learning environment in which can make all of the 21st century knowledge and skills embodied.So the authentic learning environment came into being due to it quickly become a spotlight of the foreign educational study.Therefore,the current studied situation and the advantages of authentic learning environment was the main study topic in this paper,A method of documentary analysis was used to summary the research situation of authentic learning environment.According to the theory of authentic learning environment,this paper constructed models and used the methods of case study and comparati've analysis to analyze the relevant cases and show the practice status of authentic learning environment.The results concluded the advantages and challenges of authentic learning from the different perspectives.Though the conclusion of the theories and applications of the authentic learning environment and the analyses of authentic cases,this essay found that the authentic learning environment can satisfy the requirements of the learners in the New Age,the 21st knowledge and skills can be melt into the authentic learning environment,which can help the learners prepare better for future life.However,sitting at the present situation of education in China,authentic learning is facing many challenges from the policies,schools,teachers,learners and so on.At the other hand,there are still severe drawbacks in this essay.The worst one is the cases chose.And this essay did not apply the model into the practice.All in all,authentic learning environment has a promising future and the constant improvement of it requires the efforts of all the social people.
