Vocational education lays great emphasis on training of students' skills and pays attention to the demands of jobs.“Basis of Computer Engineering” is a public basic course offered at general vocational schools.The students must master basic computer operating ability and skills,to meet the basic demands of different jobs for the high-quality talents having special IT skills.In actual teaching activities,for“Basis of Computer Engineering” course,trials are being carried out in order to cultivate students' actual operating ability.However,as basic application of computers is generalized and the vocational schools develop,teaching concepts and methods of teachers also should reformed and innovated.PBL emphasizes practices and is established on the basis of actual work.It is possible to cultivate comprehensive quality and actual operating ability of students through special tasks or a project related with the true jobs.This article applies PBL in teaching practices,and makes a study on its application in the teaching reforms of“Basis of Computer Engineering” course through literature review,experimental research,and questionnaire.This article is composed of five chapters:Chapter 1 Introduction.This chapter describes the research background,research subject,significance of the research,and research methodology.Chapter 2 Concept and Theoretical Foundation of Project-Based Learning.This chapter theoretically elaborates the basic concepts and theoretical basis of the learning of the PBL.;Chapter 3 Implementation of Project-based Learning(PBL)in the course “Basic of Computer Application”.This chapter describes the construction of course “Basic Application of Computers” based on project,design principle and strategy of PBL,and whole PBL implementation process.Chapter 4 Case Study.This chapter uses actual project implementation to verify feasibility of PBL application in course teaching..Chapter 5 Evaluation and Analysis of PBL Application in Course “Basic of Computer Application”.This chapter delivers the improvement suggestions andidentify the problems that should be paid attention to in project implementation,through application of the evaluation system and the analysis;Chapter 6 Conclusion and Recommendations.In this chapter,conclusion is drawn through teaching practices,and future improvement suggestions are put forward with regard to PBL application.
