With the gradual improvement of China's economy and the steady growth of people's living standards, the community is increasingly concerned about people's happiness. According to the survey of The World Survey, the happiness index of Chinese residents in 1995,2001 and 2005 were 3.05,2.87,2.94, showing that Chinese public happiness was not improved significantly, and even had a tendency to decline.Some domestic scholars' empirical research even confirmed that the Easterlin paradox has appeared in China.From family micro-finance perspective, we analyze the relationship between household income and Chinese public subjective happiness and the influencing factors of people's happiness. The data comes from the China Household Finance Survey (CHFS). The paper applies Ordered Logistic model to analyze the household income and Chinese public subjective happiness.The paper is divided into five parts. First is the preamble, the myth of happiness and income is derived from the rapid development of China's economy and the concentration of Chinese dream. Considering the importance and particularity of household income in the public subjective happiness, determine the study of the relationship between the household income and Chinese public subjective happiness as the direction of this paper.Second, for the myth of happiness and income, mainly to answer four questions:What is the myth of happiness and income? How to explain the myth theoretically? What is the definition of happiness? What factors can explain the myth? Furthermore, we briefly describe the characteristics of the myth, explain the phenomenon from the perspective of economics and psychology, review the related concepts and definite the concept of happiness. Besides, briefly review the influences of happiness from the perspective of economic factor, demographic factor, social and psychological factor, and other aspects.Third, analyze the household income and public subjective happiness. First of all, explain and define the relevant concepts. Secondly, show the status quo of the household income and Chinese public subjective happiness. Finally, explain the influences of public subjective happiness from the perspective of household income and other economic factors, demographic characteristics, social and psychological factors, regional factors.Fourth, use Ordered Logistic model to study the relationship and characteristics between household income and public subjective happiness from the perspective of full example, income stratification and region stratification. The empirical results show that the characteristics of Easterlin paradox only exhibit in the higher income group. In the lower income group, the ration of household income is distorted due to the effect of relative income and other factors. In addition, the empirical results also show that there are some differences in different income levels and in different areas of our country on the factors and degree of influence.Fifth, point out the problems the government department and the household sector are facing, and give some corresponding measures and suggestions. Moreover, in this part, point out the future direction of the research with the lack of this paper.
