Research On The New Education Movement In Hunan Province (1915-1930)

In the tide of New Culture Movement and May Fourth Movement, Hunan Province also carried out the New Education Movement on a grand and spectacular scale, which had boosted the renovation and development of the cause of education in Hunan Province in modern times.This paper systematically and comprehensively expounds the evolution process of the New Education Movement in Hunan Province, analyzes its main components, reveals its achievements and finally sums up its meaning of enlightenment.With lots of detailed and accurate historical materials, from the three perspectives of the changes of education, the structure of the movement, the appraisal of achievements, this paper applies literature method, historical method and other Methods of Education Research in order to comb and explore the changes of the trend of education thoughts, the educational activities, institutions and the educational newspapers in different periods of New Education Movement in Hunan Province, fully displaying the movement's characteristics and the scene for development of the new education in Hunan Province during the past fifteen years, exploring and analyzing the positive influence of the New Education Movement on the modernization of education and the promotion of culture heritage in Hunan Province.
