A Social Work Intervention Research On Marital Conflict Of Family Lost The Only Child

The implementation of the one child policy,to a certain extent controlled population quantity,but the negative effect of the one-child policy is also highlighting.The family lost only one child as a side effect is increasingly concerned by people.After contacted with the family lost only one child,researcher feeling the pain and helplessness of the family,so choice the groups as its research object in graduation practice.In the actual process,the researcher developed a series of case work.Many women joined group activities and service cases,the proportion of male rarely.And many women reflected they and their husband's feeling distant after the death of their child.Through the research on the analysis the interview data,knowing that 31%family of institution widowed or separated and divorce,greatly affect the stability of marriage.This paper selected a typical case of the family loss only one child;the family began to appear problem after the child's death.The quarrel and cold war phenomenon is unrelenting,caused a great impact on the relationship between husband and wife and the stability of marriage.By analyzing the data collected,found there are three problems in the family,they are husband and wife relationship tension,cognitive errors of the child's death,and not out of the shadow of lost children.The cause of the problem are the structural change of family,the wrong attribution of the death of the child and the bad way of communication.Researcher used the method of case work to intervene,discussed from the professional social work help the human,using the couples conflict as the breakthrough point.To find the reasons for conflict chose family life cycle theory and family systems theory as the theoretical basis.Using the joint family therapy mode to solve the couples conflict of family lost only one child,maintaining the family marital stability.In the process of case work,researcher conducted fifteen interviews to solve the main problem of the family.In the contact period through the interview,to understand the conflict existing time,frequency and causes.In the transformation period to help the family accept the loss of children,correct wrong cognition.To help clients realize that child's death was an accident,improve family relationship and maintain stability of the family.In order to prevent problems from happening again,social worker started with the family internal communication means,changed the blame type and please type communication means,restored clear,rational communication,fundamentally solve the family problem.In resolving couples conflict phase,social worker led the client sorting the entire event,to help client realize the effects of child's death.Within the family launched an equal,open dialogue,to help family members combed problems,reached the goal to resolve couples conflict and between husband and wife can simple communication.In the period of consolidation researcher led the family to recall the case work process,reminded the clients may face the problem,prepare for the future life.Researcher in case work has been learning a great deal of enlightenment to solve couples conflict,through reflecting the mode effect and limitation,ethical dilemmas and the roles of social worker,to provide the experience on solving couples conflict.The results showed that,the joint family therapy mode is suitable to solve the couples conflict of family lost the only child,the treatment of ideas and technology can adapt to the local situation.Through the intervention achieved good results and improved the couples conflict of family lost the only child.As a professional social worker,there are some advantages in the professional,experience.But there are some problems in the aspects of social resources and emotional processing.Therefore in the intervention process for some complex issues lack of capacity,it is difficult to meet the needs of clients.In future work,researcher need to learn to use a wide range of resources,continuously improve their ability,strive to solve more problems for clients.
