The four basic skills of language learning are listening,speaking,reading and writing.In junior school English teaching,writing has been ranked after the three language skills of listening,speaking and reading.Therefore,English writing has been a weak link in English teaching.Writing ability is a reflection of the learners' comprehensive ability to use language,so English writing is becoming more and more important.Errors in English writing have always been an important aspect of error research.From the analysis of relevant literature collected,most of domestic empirical research on writing errors is to take the middle and senior English learners of college English and non-English majors and others as the research object,few studies are conducted by taking the junior school students and other primary English learners as research object.Regarding to these studies of English writing errors for junior school students,the research perspective is only started from the writing errors of a grade of the junior school students,and then is to conduct the statistics,classification and other studies.In this thesis,the author will attempt to make classification of various writing errors seen in three grades of the junior school,and make the comparative analysis in a longitudinal way,and this thesis written from this perspective will be aninnovation here.Based on the error analysis theory and inter-language theory,the author in this thesis reviews the different views and misclassifications of errors of different schools in different periods.On the basis of the theories,the thesis is to study written expression of the last question of the English final exam paper for 2016 first semester of Seventh Grade,Eighth Grade and Ninth Grade of NO.48 Middle School in Baotou,Inner Mongolia,the data analysis is conducted for a total of 98 English essays of three grades,and 578 grammatical errors in the writing text of Seventh Grade,556 grammatical errors in the writing text of Eighth Grade,646 grammatical errors in the writing text of Ninth Grade are classified,and the author analyzes the causes for these errors.The purpose is to give some enlightenment to English writing teaching in junior school.The results show that the grammatical errors of English writing in junior school students are mainly divided into global errors and local errors.Among them,the number of local errors is far more than the global errors.The main causes of errors are interlanguage interference and intralingual interference.Interlanguage interference is mainly caused by the negative transfer of mother tongue.Intralingual interference is mainly affected by target language interference,performance overgeneralization,ignorance of rules and limits,the non-complete application of rules and conceptual assumptions.Other reasons includesome environmental factors and lack of practice.Finally,based on the above research results,the author puts forward some suggestions and measures in view of the present situation of English writing teaching and students' learning situation in junior school.
