Adaptation is an eternal topic about development, among which psychological adaptability is more important to measure a person's developmental ability index. However, the common problem for junior high school students is adaptation,so there is an urgent need for school counselors to hold activities among all the students. At present, the lack of professional psychological counselors as well as the sensitivity of the students to psychological counseling urges us to explore a rich and effective mode to solve the psychological problems the students face, that is,the peer counseling.Peer counseling model has been introduced in colleges and universities as a new kind of school psychological education, but little is applied to middle high schools. In recent years, peer counseling techniques are applied positively, especially in Taiwan, the implementation has achieved good effects. It is gradually accepted for its convenience, powerful generalization and its quick effect.Domestic research mainly focuses on empirical research and intervention. As for intervention, studies mainly concentrate on college freshmen, but relatively less on high school students. This study adopted junior high school students to research their psychological situation of adaptation using the Adolescent Mental Health Diathesis Questionnaire--Adaptation Quality Weight table. There are 987 questionnaires in this study, and the effective questionnaire is 916,and the recovery rate was 96%.Secondly,two classes are randomly selected on the basis of the census results, and make sure their levels are almost the same, which can then be used as experimental class and control class. Finally, according to the characteristics of body and mind development and their adaptation situation, the researcher made the counseling intervention plan and selected 10 excellent peer counselors in the experimental class. Then the 10 peer counselors were regularly questioned, gave feedback and supervised in the process of research. After the study, the results were compared and analyzed as follows:1.According to the survey carried out among the junior high school students in Dalate No.1 Middle School, the average level of psychological adaptation is 67.71.2.The different study ways of the students contribute to significant differences of psychological adaptations. There are significant differences among different classes in Psychological Quality Scale, which are M?>M?>M?.Because of different family backgrounds, there are also significant differences of their adaptation level. However, there are almost no differences among the students who come from different ethnic groups and the only child or non-only-child in the family.3.From the results of the post-test,it comes to the conclusion that peer counseling intervention has a remarkable effect on the students' psychological adaptation level, which indicates that peer counseling has significant effect on psychological adaptation. At the same time,is feasible and effective to apply peer counseling among junior high school students.4.Peer counseling in this research can greatly improve the level of students' psychological adaptability and open up a new mode of education for the school mental health education.5.There is a significant change about the students' adaptation in daily life under the influence of psychological health education in the control class. But in the experimental class, there are also significant differences in other aspects in addition to physiological adaptation.
