Peer relationship is an intimate relationship established by individuals in the process of interpersonal communication.Good peer relationship can enhance the development of friendship between peers,promote physical and mental health,and bad peer relationship can lead to adaptation problems.In recent years,the school adaptation of junior high school students has attracted much attention.Many schools have carried out a series of mental health activities to avoid the occurrence of students' maladjustment.Peer relationship is one of the important factors that affect students' school adaptation,so it is necessary to improve students' school adaptation through peer relationship counseling.Therefore,this study aims to improve students' school adaptability through the intervention and guidance of peer relationship.This study includes two parts: the first part discusses the current situation of peer relationship and school adaptation of junior high school students and the relationship between them.648 junior high school students in Hebei Normal University affiliated middle school were investigated by using the adolescent peer relationship scale and the junior high school adaptation scale,and 609 valid questionnaires were collected.In Study 2,group counseling was carried out on the peer relationship of junior high school students to improve the school's adaptability.The experimental group(47),the control group(47)and the placebo group(47)were used to carry out 8 times of peer relationship group counseling intervention.The control group did not carry out any intervention in normal classes,and the placebo group carried out non peer relationship group counseling intervention.Three groups of pre-test and post test data were analyzed.The results are as follows:Research 1 shows that:1.There is no significant difference in grade,only child,family place of residence and divorce;2.There are significant differences in gender in conventional adaptation,in grade in total score of school adaptation,academic adaptation,school emotional attitude,teacher-student relationship and conventional adaptation,in family residence in total score of school adaptation,and in whether parents are divorced in teacher-student relationship;3.There is a signifiitive correlation between peer relationship and school adaptation,and peer relationship of junior high school students has a negative predictive effect on school adaptation.The second study shows that the group counseling program can improve the peer relationship and further improve the students' school adaptability.
