An Investigation On The Influence Of Anglo-american Film And Television Culture On Junior High School Students' Values

The development of new media technology fuels the presence of Anglo-American film and television culture.Anglo-American film and television is well popular with its excellent production among the majority of Chinese young people.However,the role the culture behind the film and television can play is related to the characteristics of its audience.As Schramm,the American mediaman said: “Whether human beings can enjoy the benefits of film and television culture mainly depends on whether the wisdom of human applying the culture can keep pace with that of human creating it.” However,the immature development of young people has a negative impact on the transmission of the culture.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate the impact of Anglo-American film and television culture on junior high school students' values.This paper is divided into three parts.The first part is mainly about the basic theory,systematically explaining the connotation and characteristics of Anglo-American film and television culture as well as the values and also the traits of junior high school students' values,which lays the theoretical foundation for the research of this paper.In the second part,a questionnaire was designed based on the comprehensive experiences of other researchers and combined with the content to be measured.The investigation included junior high school students' cognition,love,acceptance and attitude to Anglo-American film and television culture and was further summarized and analyzed systematically.This is the core part of this paper.The third part is mainly based on the questionnaire.The already established or possible negative impacts of Anglo-American film and television culture on the values of junior high school students were analyzed and corresponding countermeasures were put forward combined with the characteristics of students' values.To establish a scientific value,on the one hand,can promote students' better development;on the other hand,it can lead younger generation to better shoulder the responsibility of building the country.This,of course,requires the joint efforts from the school,the parents and social education.
