Social Work Intervention Study On Vagrants And Beggar's Aid

The social roles of vagrants and beggars have been always exiting.Along with the social progress,it has been changing and developing constantly,from the refugees in the ancient time who was away from home and wandered from place to place,to the professional beggars nowadays begging in the stress which could be regarded as a means of living.The problems of begging are always a social phenomenon which can not be eliminated.The vagrants and beggars who are role-playing the vulnerable group in our society have been always caused our society and government' care,love and concern.Aiding and assisting the vulnerable group are the responsibilities both of government and society.Rescue stations at various levels,as the government organs protected the people's livelihood and assisted the vulnerable groups,are the safe harbor for the vagrants and beggars.And also it is the last defense of their dignity.Based on the current assistance system,how to keep continuously explore and practice;to try the aiding philology which is more suitable to our era characters and native culture;to build more effective and humanistic rescue measures,so that the salvation management station can improve and settle down the social problems about begging radically.To the most extent,it could embody the social fairmess,justice and equality.Combined the sense with feelings,researches and practices of the writer's internship in Bayanur' s salvation station,this paper describes the working mode,working process and the basic situation of vagrants and beggars comprehensively and systematically.Facing the problems and the difficulties of the rescue management,the author collected the first-hand information as a professional social worker through field observation,visiting,researching and studying.And based on the reality of working and running of the rescue station,the author designed the completed services schemes,provided case services and evaluated the service effects.The author made great efforts to help them build confidence and recognize themselves through case work as the case subject to provide professional assistance such as material support,psychological counseling,and the emotional assistance;helped them to return back family,out of troubles and return to society by variety of approaches and resource integration.All in all,through rethinking and summary,the author offered the feasible suggestions to policies about the professional social work engaged in social assistance and to the aiding philology.Through this,the author hoped that the theoretical basis and practical experience could be referred and could make great contributions to the social work's localization development.
