Research On Fans Culture Of Beijing Duck Basketball Club

The developing experience of world professional basketball league has shown that the acceleration of process of basketball professionalization could not be separated from the growing of fans group.Basketball fan plays an very important role in the professional basketball leagues,which is also one of the important factors for the healthy development of the league.In a manner of speaking,the obtain of excellent result of different professional clubs can not separated from the support of fans.Recently years,basketball market of Beijing are becoming hot because of the improvement of Beijing Duck club.The ranking of the club in CBA is usually at the top and the club can always get into the playoffs.Thus,the number of fans of the club are becoming bigger and bigger,which promotes the development of fans culture of the club and gradually becoming the lead in CBA clubs.According to the theory about culture with three levels,the author uses the methods of literature,logical analysis,field observation,questionnaire and interview to carry out this study.The thesis takes the fans culture of Beijing Duck basketball club as the research object,investigates the current development situation of different levels of fans culture of the club and analyzes the main problems of the current fan culture of the club.Conclusions are included: a)the material level of fans culture of the club has more strength which is at the top of CBA in development of fan products and fan facilities.b)in the behavior and system level of fans culture,the club has their own methods in management and operation of fan group but lacks of guides on fans watching behaviors which cause many fan turbulences.c)in the spiritual level of fans culture,the club develops good in fans’ basketball values,but the behavior loyalty of fans is low.d)the development of fans culture of Beijing Duck basketball club still has many problems needed to solve in different levels.Specifically speaking,the material level has no completed industry chain of fan products,lacks of fan facilities and club official publication.The behavior and system level has no specific management division for different fan groups,lacks of targeted rules and regulations for fans and mismanages the uncivilized watching behaviors of fans such as mandarin slang.The spiritual level has no strong guidance on establishing fans’ basketball values and pays less attention to the improvement of fans’ loyalty.Thus,the thesis proposed the following strategies to develop the fans culture of Beijing Duck basketball club: a)strengthen the competitiveness of the team to attract more fans;b)in the material level: build industrial chain of fan products;set up fans gathering center;open fans entertainment facilities such as fans restaurants;try to establish official books of club;c)in the behavior and system level: improve the management and operation of fans groups;formulate the rules and regulations for fans;strengthen the guiding role of workers of the club;emphasize the supervision and management of the uncivilized watching behaviors such as mandarin slang;d)in the spiritual level: cultivate the good brand image of the club;lead fans to set up correct basketball values;advance the level of service works related to fans.
